A really successful collaboration between Exeter 1st year drama students, RAMM and Promenade Promotions took place this Spring. The title of the module was “Heritage, Showmanship & Flim-Flam”; the final, devised performances explored issues about imperialism, patriarchy, showmanship & museum curation and resulted in performed tours around the museum. The students’ research into peepshows, showmen and Victorian ethics produced some memorable insights which demonstrate some of the philosophy underlying Promenade Promotions’ work.
