My research interests focus around historical British popular entertainment forms and their application to contemporary contexts. Current research topics include: Pierrot troupes, concert parties, pantomime & harlequinades, British “N-Word” minstrels, Peepshows & Raree men, strolling/vagabond performance, fairground sideshows.

I am always interested in commissions and collections which inform my research and welcome any such enquiries.
